Maksymilian Pyzio - a website for a photographer who didn't want templates.

Maksymilian Pyzio studies photography and multimedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Before photography, he finished music school. He shoots editorials, fashion campaigns, video work - and he does it with a very specific vision of how he wants to be perceived.

When he came to us, he knew one thing: he didn't want another templated WordPress site. He wanted something that said who he is from the very first second.

New stack, new possibilities

This was our first project built in React with PayloadCMS. A deliberate choice - not because WordPress couldn't have handled it, but because we wanted to build something WordPress wouldn't do as well.

React and GSAP together give incomparably more freedom in animation than anything a page builder can achieve - and that was exactly what this project needed.

PayloadCMS instead of Elementor

For the client, this means a simpler admin panel - fewer options, but also fewer things that can accidentally break :). Most visual decisions are baked into the code by the developer. Maks edits content, he doesn't redesign the site with every update.

For us, it means something more valuable: a component library we can grow and reuse on future projects. Every block written once - ready to use anywhere.

What did Maksymilian get?

Navigating between pages is instant - no reloads, no waiting. High-resolution photos load only as the user scrolls to them, so the site doesn't slow down despite the heavy files.

Maks manages the gallery and content on his own. He can put together a new case study from ready-made blocks in minutes - without risking breaking the site's consistent look.

React and PayloadCMS worked out so well that they stuck with us.
MaksymilianPyzio.pl was our first project on this stack - not our last.
